These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the GujaratiPDF Android application ("the App"). By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
GujaratiPDF is a PDF creation, viewing, editing, annotation, conversion, scanning and OCR application with built-in Gujarati typing (phonetic transliteration) support. The App is provided for personal and general productivity use on Android devices.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own personal or internal business use. You may not:
You retain full ownership of the PDF files, documents, images, scans and any other content you create, import or edit using the App ("Your Content"). As described in our Privacy Policy, Your Content is processed and stored on your own device; we do not claim any rights to it and do not have access to it.
You are solely responsible for Your Content and for having the necessary rights to create, edit, scan, OCR, sign, share or convert it using the App, including compliance with any applicable copyright, privacy or data protection laws.
The Gujarati typing/transliteration suggestion feature sends the phonetic word you are typing to Google's transliteration API to obtain Gujarati suggestions, as described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of this feature is also subject to Google's Terms of Service. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy or behavior of this third-party service, and suggestion quality or availability may vary or be interrupted without notice.
The App requests certain Android permissions (storage/file access, camera for scanning, and optional biometric authentication for App Lock) solely to provide the corresponding features, as detailed in our Privacy Policy. You may decline or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings, though doing so may limit related features (e.g., declining camera access disables Scan to PDF).
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that OCR, transliteration, conversion or any other tool will produce perfectly accurate results in every case — you should verify important documents before relying on them.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, files or profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the App. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of PDF files, scans or documents due to device failure, accidental deletion, or misuse of features such as the Recycle Bin, page management or PDF locking tools. We recommend keeping independent backups of important documents.
Features such as the App Lock PIN, biometric unlock, and PDF password lock/unlock are provided for your convenience. You are responsible for remembering any PIN or password you set. We do not store your App Lock PIN or PDF passwords on any server and cannot recover them for you if lost — for PDF passwords in particular, a forgotten password may make a locked PDF permanently inaccessible.
GujaratiPDF is currently offered free of charge with no advertisements and no in-app purchases. We may, at our discretion, introduce optional paid features, subscriptions or advertising in a future version of the App. If we do, these Terms and our Privacy Policy will be updated in advance, and any new pricing will be clearly disclosed before you are charged.
The App, including its design, branding, icons and underlying software (excluding Your Content and excluding third-party open-source components used under their own licenses), is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any such ownership to you.
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue the App (or any feature of it) at any time, with or without notice, though we will make reasonable efforts to preserve access to your locally stored documents through standard Android file access even if the App itself is discontinued.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the App or applicable law. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
